Join us at the West Midlands PCC Business Summit to discuss the Police and Crime Plan.
About this Event

Police and Crime Commissioner Simon Foster is asking you to use your voice to tell him your main concerns about policing.

The information that you give us will help to develop his new Police and Crime Plan, which will set out his policing priorities, and what West Midlands Police will be delivering over the next four years.

Simon Foster wants West Midlands Police to be an excellent police force, the force that you deserve and we want to ensure that those priorities are influenced by the information and feedback that you give to us – it is important that we are responding to the needs of our communities.

We are holding a series of events that are targeting particular priority areas:

Business Summit – is focussed on business crime and how West Midlands Police and the Police and Crime Commissioner’s office can best work with businesses to prevent business related crime from taking place, support a safe working environement for front line staff and take effective action where such crimes occur.

These crimes include shoplifting and other forms of non-payment, violence against retail and hospitality sector workers, criminal damage to business premises, and fraud against businesses.

Much has been done to address these matters such as our Offending to Recovery project targeting repeat shoplifting offenders whose shoplifting is driven by a drug habit or the work we have commenced around preventing fraud. However, we know that more needs to be done and we want you to come and tell us about your experiences, and how we can work with the business community to deliver change.

Your voice will help us to work towards a safer and more inclusive West Midlands. There are a number of strands to this consultation and it is running for three months. It ends mid October, so please also fill in our Police & Crime Plan 2025-2029 public consultation as well as coming to this event.

If you have further questions about the event, please contact [email protected] or 0121 626 6060.
