About this Event

We are delighted to confirm that this regional UKABIF seminar and networking event will include presentations focusing on the world of Neurorehabilitation to support the recovery for those affected by an Acquired Brain Injury.


Our thanks to Shoosmiths for being our fabulous hosts for this event. Parking is not on site but parking is available near by at Birmingham Snow Hill Livery St, Birmingham B3 2BJ


Speakers include:

Claire Dunsterville - Chief Executive Officer at the Harborne Hospital HCA Healthcare UK. Claire started her career as a Physio and became the Director of Rehabilitation Services at The Wellington Hospital London before moving to the role of Chief Operating Officer and now CEO of The Harborne.


Dr Kumi Pillay - Consultant Neuropsychiatrist at Cygnet Health Care. Dr Pillay wil help to demystify the world of Neuropsychiatry. He trained as a Psychiatrist completing membership to the Royal College in 2010 there afterwards, further training in Neuropsychiatry at a regional Neurorehab (Burden Centre) inpatient unit. He then set up and led a specialist Neuropsychiatry inpatient service in South Wales for 8 years and completed his Masters in Clinical Neuropsychiatry at Birmingham.


Kashmir Uppal - Partner at Shoosmiths . Kashmir won “Partner of the Year” at the Birmingham Law Society Awards and won “Clinical Negligence Lawyer of the Year” at the national Eclipse Proclaim Personal Injury awards. Her wealth of experience working with clients affected by brain injuries will provide an interesting insight.


All this and an opportunity to network with individuals across a wide range of disciplines and pathways - this is an ideal opportunity to tell people what you do, share best practice and build contacts as well as hear great speakers. Light refreshments available.
