About this Event
Choose from 4 amazing workshops:
- A Sensory Story taster workshop with Ailie Finlay. Learn how to tell simple nature stories and folktales, with storytelling tips and techniques and ideas for adding sensory props. A sensory story is the perfect tool whether you want to relax with a group of children or consolidate learning after a nature walk.
- Curriculum for Excellence & Sustainability through outdoor learning with Louise Licznerski from Little Bugs Nursery. Supporting STEM outdoors, linking with the seasons and learning about sustainability.
- Gardening with Grant from the Sanctuary Garden. Learning about their 3 aims: growing, health and community and how growing your own supports physical activity and mental well-being, promotes learning about nutrition and sustainability, and how shared experiences build community.
- An introduction to the new resource Music in the Woods from OWL Scotland with Kate Hookham. Learn how wood and other materials can be used to explore music, discussing tool use with young people, make your own instruments and then discover some simple musical activities.
