West Coast Swing Dance Party! Join us for a night of social dancing including an Intro to West Coast Swing dance class for beginners!

7PM - Beginner West Coast Swing dance class

8PM-midnight - Social Dance Party!

Cost: $20+HST

(Uni students use code STUDENT to get 10% off, must present student ID at the door.)

• Introduction to West Coast Swing Dance Class - This will be a beginner-friendly class designed to get you moving on the dance floor. All are welcome. Bring your friends!

• Social Dance Party - dance the night away!

• West Coast Swing is a modern, ever-evolving partner dance that is characterized by its elastic movements and freedom for musicality and expression. It is danced to a huge range of music including funk, pop, RnB, hip hop, swing, blues, rock... and more!

• No partners necessary!
• WCS is a partner dance but we will be switching partners during the class so you'll get a chance to dance with everyone. (If you are not comfortable with switching partners and want to dance with just the person you came with, that's totally fine too! :)
• In fact, as long as you are comfortable with it, we highly encourage dancing with lots of different people because it helps you develop your own abilities to lead/follow.

• Indoor shoes! (Not outdoor shoes will be allowed in the studio.) Dance shoes, clean sneakers, and sock feet are fine.
• Water bottle.
• Mask (optional).
• Deodorant/change of shirt. (It might get warm!)
• No alcohol.

• No such thing. ;) You just haven't found the right teacher/dance style yet.

Masks and vaccinations are no longer required for public events. Please do your best to keep yourself and your community safe. This means if you are sick, please do not come to class, and if you have been exposed it is recommended that you wear a mask to protect the safety of our community and fellow dancers. If you are sick prior to an event please contact us for a refund minus Eventbrite's booking fees. If you are sick at an event (sniffling/coughing) you will be asked to leave immediately with no refund.

Class passes and workshops will not be refunded except under extreme circumstances, but can be transferred to the next class block if necessary (must be requested), or to another person of the same role (leader/follower).

You will be asked to sign a Waiver and Media Release (photos and videos taken during the even may be used in promotional materials or posted on social media). If you have questions about the Waiver prior to purchasing your event pass, please contact us. You cannot participate in Remix Swing events without signing the Waiver.

All participants must be 18+ years old.
