Join this mostly West African-based drum class facilitated by Sean that focuses on hand technique and traditional and non-traditional rhythms for Djembe drums. Learn traditional African rhythms, how to approach a drum circle, etiquette, hand technique, ergonomics, and much more. Drumming can be a fascinating tool for meditation, spiritual growth & connection. No experience necessary!Sean has more than 30 years drumming experience with a strong influence in the Central Florida drum community. "CongaSean" has a unique playing style and approach to rhythm that is all his own. You will often find him performing, recording, teaching group drum workshops & one-on-one classes, making drum stands or re-heading, repairing and rebuilding drums. Sean is a VMC Certified Drum Circle Facilitator, and has participated, organized and facilitated countless drum circles including large festival fire circles for more than 20 years.
