About this Event
Join us in exploring and uplifting traditional West African dance rooted in the Mande culture of Mali, brought to life by live Djembe and Djun Djun drumming. Led by Seydou Coulibaly, co-founder and co-director of The Yeredon Centre, alongside his daughter Sita Coulibaly—founder and co-director of The Haus of Glitter and Director of Legacy Arts & Education at The Yeredon Centre—this experience honors culture, lineage, and legacy.
The Yeredon Centre is an arts and culture center in Bamako, Mali, founded in 2001 and run by Seydou Coulibaly and Michelle Bach-Coulibaly. It offers programs in traditional Bamana dance, music, language, and culture, while supporting local Malian artists. For over 20 years, it has hosted an inclusive summer program for artists and researchers from around the world.
