Keen to build your biking confidence? Join us for Welly On Wheels: Karori edition! π΄ββοΈThinking about biking more, but not quite confident on city streets? Join us and Pedal Ready for a free, social bike tour between Karori, the Botanical Gardens and the waterfront. Get to know the route and street changes, build cycling confidence and skills, and learn about interesting features such as murals and fix it stands along the way!
This ride starts and ends at Switched On Bikes on the waterfront near Waitangi Park. The route leads along the scenic waterfront, past the Botanical Gardens, with the "Gardens magic" in full swing, up to Karori and Karori Park, and into South Karori to the starting point of MΔkara Peak mountain bike trails. We will then retrace our tracks back to Karori Park and use the separated cycle lane to travel through Karori, and back down past the Botanical Gardens and on to the waterfront. The ride will finish at Switched-on-Bikes.

π° Free event. E-bike hire available for $10.
This ride is perfect for you if:
β You know how to ride but are not yet biking in the city
β You already bike in the city but want more confidence
β You would like to learn how to use new biking infrastructure
π¨βπ©βπ§βπ¦ Open to adults (18+) and youth (13+ with an adult). Families with younger children can bring their own cargo bikes or bike seats. Please enquire directly with Switched on Bikes if you'd like to borrow a bike seat for the tour.
