Join us for our monthly literature review for February 2026. We will be reviewing the first half of the Yoga-Sutra of Patanjali translated by Chip Hartranft.Discussion will cover the Introduction, Book 1, and Book 2 (pages IX-61). Samadhi Pada (Book 1) outlines the psychology of yoga, discussing how suffering is caused by uncontrolled mental fluctuations and misperceptions of reality. Sadhana Pada (Book 2) provides the path to liberation through the dharmic 8 limbed path, discovering our authentic self in balance to divine energy.
It is not mandatory to read the text to attend, it is only recommended. You only need to bring an open mind and an open heart.
