In this session, we will explore the role of presence and mindfulness in the setting of caring for a loved one living with Alzheimerβs disease. Lyla will share how a practice of loving kindness can help us transcend loss and find strength through the nurturing of the spirit.
The Session Includes:
-35-Minute Presentation: A deep dive into mindfulness and loving kindness in the caregiving journey.
-10-Minute Guided Practice: A meditative practice in loving kindness to help open the heart.
-Q&A Session: An opportunity to ask questions and share reflections with Dr. Yastion.

About the Speaker:
Lyla Yastion, Ph.D., is a retired adjunct professor of anthropology with 18 years of collegiate teaching experience. She is also a Reiki Master and is certified in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR). Lyla has authored three books, focusing her most recent work on the spiritual journey of caregiving.
