Take on other students from around the country on this muddy obstacle course consisting of swamp crossings, a spider’s web net climb, crawl under barb wire, beautiful native bush trails, tunnels, hurdles, a climbing frame, water crossings and not to mention, mud, mud and more mud! There is a Toughest School Trophy on offer for the winners in the 6km event!
The New Balance Secondary Schools Tough Guy and Gal Challenges are approved by NZQA for Level 2 and Level 3 practical assessment. Times will be released two weeks after each event to ensure the times are fair for all students across all venues.
The event will return to Camp Wainui, 203 Coast Road, Wainuiomata just 10km from Lower Hutt. Camp Wainui provides a unique opportunity to explore the wonders of a New Zealand native bush environment. We do encourage our competitors to carpool where possible to ensure everyone has a space to park.
Entry numbers are limited! We are only able to accept 1,000 entries per race due to NZQA restrictions. We will be working on a first in first served basis.
