The Undercurrent presents the Wellington Calling Open Mic!The Undercurrent is now hosting the Wellington Calling Open Mic and we're looking for diverse acts to contribute! Each performer gets the chance to have a six-minute set with a microphone, guitar and piano provided. This is an originals only event. We want to encourage new creative voices to be heard. “We want to provide a positive and encouraging environment for established and fledgling acts to shine in. It's a pretty inspiring place to perform,” says host Steven Hood.
Each performer will need to sign up in person before 7pm and registrations of interest need to be emailed to [email protected] before April 23.
The feature act is Noah Bryn, a singer songwriter, composer, guitarist and producer from Wellington, who makes music drawing influences from folk, jazz, rock, funk, blues and soul. Currently studying as a composition major at the New Zealand School Of Music, Noah is always experimenting with music, forging a sound unique to his musical journey.
