Dear Neighbor:
On behalf of the Board of Directors of the Wellesley Gentleman’s Society, we are pleased to invite you to attend the Thirty Fourth Annual Dinner of the Society. This year’s dinner has been scheduled for Thursday, March 26, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. at the Italo Club, Pleasant St., Wellesley, MA. The Dinner is a fundraiser that supports several local and national charities and needs, many of them recommended to us by our members, and we will solicit recommendations from you again this year with regard to where we might best direct your donations.
We are holding the cost of the dinner at $150.00, covering the cost of the dinner and a fair amount for our charities. We will as usual start the night with cocktails and end it outside with cigars.
Thanks again to your support, we can once again expect a great crowd, and to allow for this, we ask that if you plan to attend you forward your check or Eventbrite reply upon receipt of this letter. Please note that in order to better track attendance and establish an up to date list of members, we have established on-line tool by which you can confirm your attendance, provide us with up to date information and allow you to easily send the invitation to neighbors and friends. Please forward this letter and/or the registration website to any other men who you feel might enjoy attending. While we try to keep a good list, the number of walk-ins every year results in the possibility of missing someone from the list, so forwarding the invitation and adding names and emails, particularly regarding any person who you invited over the last couple of years and for whom we may not have a current email address, helps us to ensure that nobody misses out. This also helps us with planning and coordinating with our hosts at the Italo Club.
We also plan again to have a small silent auction, and if you would like to contribute items to the silent auction, we would most appreciate it and ask that you contact Pfaffy at [email protected], if you can do so. Tickets to Boston professional or major college sports games would be particularly appreciated along with foursomes from your respective clubs.
