About this Event
🌿 About Wellbeing Week
Wellbeing Week is a series of free, small-group retreats created to offer local people time, space, and support to rest, reconnect, and feel part of something shared.
Across the week, we’re holding tailored wellbeing spaces for different parts of our community, recognising that wellbeing is not one-size-fits-all. Each retreat is designed with care, accessibility, and nervous system regulation at its core, blending gentle movement, breath, mindfulness, and sound.
This week is about prevention, connection, and collective care. Creating spaces where people can slow down, feel supported, and reconnect with themselves and each other before the natural shift into spring.
You’re welcome to join one session or attend multiple across the week.
🌈FREE HEARTS
A Queer Wellbeing Retreat
A safe, affirming space to rest and be yourself.
Brave Hearts is a welcoming retreat for LGBTQ+ community members, offering a calm and inclusive space to slow down, reconnect with the body, and feel supported.
This is a space rooted in safety, nervous system care, and gentle connection, with no pressure to share or perform.
What we’ll explore
Created with and for LGBTQ+ communities, this retreat offers a trauma-aware, inclusive space to soften, ground, and reconnect. The session blends gentle movement, guided meditation, sound bowl immersion, and group voice activation, supporting nervous system regulation and embodied expression.
Participants are invited to engage at their own pace, whether through movement, sound, stillness, or rest. Voice work is approached gently and invitationally, offering an opportunity for expression without expectation. This session centres safety, belonging, and self-connection, creating space to exhale, express, and simply be within a held and affirming environment.
Why this space exists
Queer communities experience higher levels of stress and marginalisation. Brave Hearts creates an affirming space for rest, embodiment, and collective care.
What you can expect to take away
Participants often leave feeling calmer, more settled, and quietly connected to themselves and others.
Closing the week together
Wellbeing Week gently closes on Sunday with an optional community gathering at Bay20 (W10 6JG) from 14:00 – 15:30.
All retreat attendees are warmly invited to join, and are more than welcome to bring friends and family if they wish, to spend time together, connect, and share the atmosphere. This is an informal, social gathering with conversation, laughter, and a community meal in the café.
Bringing a "Dish from Home” to share is entirely optional. This might be something you love and enjoy making, something familiar you’d happily share with others, or something new that represents you, your culture, or your story. A small offering, made or chosen with care. If you do bring food, please include a simple ingredients list so everyone can navigate dietary needs and allergies with ease.
How this has been made possible
Wellbeing Week has been made possible thanks to the generous support of .
Their funding enables Fiery Hearts CIC to offer these retreats free of charge, removing financial barriers and creating accessible, inclusive wellbeing spaces for the local community.
