About this Event
Welcome to the Wellbeing Walk for Autistic Adults – Hereford Pop Up!
Join us for our Wellbeing Walk for Autistic Adults living in Herefordshire and Worcestershire around Bishops Meadow. A perfect opportunity to meet other autistic adults, talk to staff from Autism West Midlands and enjoy nature in a calm and relaxing setting. There is no expectation to talk or socialise and you are welcome to bring along a camera to take some pictures of the scenery or binoculars to look for wildlife.
Unfortunately we are unable to accommodate the participation of children under the age of 16 for this event.
Our walk is scheduled from 1pm until 3pm, however we will not always walk for the entire 2 hour period. Should the walk finish early you are welcome to make use of the small cafes within the area, however, staff will not remain with you during this time.
Bishops Meadow can be easily accessed by car. There are a number of car parks nearby and public toilets along our route. An Autism Specialist Advisor will be leading the session and be able to provide information advice and signposting to services if needed.
Our meeting point for this wellbeing walk will be outside the front of the Cathedral. Please note our advisors wear AWM lanyards and have a small A4 sign displaying 'AWM' with our logo.
If you would like further information about Bishops Meadow please get in touch with us and we can send across an information document we have put together including information about the venue including photos and how to spot us!
