Join us every 2nd Wednesday of the month from January to May!Commune with terra firma and reintroduce native flora in this hands-on workshop that teaches how to successfully collect, store and incorporate native plant species into your home’s ecosystem—all while saving money! Participants will have the opportunity to select native plant seeds to take home and will be introduced to the 'cold stratification' process needed for these seeds to germinate. You'll also receive step-by-step guidance on setting up your seeds for cold stratification at home and preparing them for planting in the spring.
FREEBIE: Each registrant will receive (1) seed pack of plant species native to the St. Louis region. Packs may have one or more variants. One seed pack per registrant, while supplies last.
With a strong commitment to food justice, gardening and community building, Ro Kicker can be found in many community spaces throughout St. Louis. It all began in 2017, when Feed the People Garden Project started in their own backyard. With the help of community volunteers, they work to bring fresh food to communities who need it most. In November 2023, Ro founded Ro's Wigglers, which helps spread the word about the benefits vermicomposting. This passion expanded in April 2024 with the launch of Grow with Ro, where Ro brings a sustainable, magical touch to lawns and gardens in the region, working closely with clients to create thriving green spaces.
