KIPP Freedom Middle School provides high-quality education to students in grades 5-8 in the Fordham neighborhood of the Bronx. What makes us special? We believe in rigorous and joyful education that develops independent leaders who think critically, work collaboratively, and act courageously. We use the power of our voices, stories, and writing to create a world that honors our past, transforms our present, and liberates our future.
About us
We are the right people at the right time to continue the revolutionary fight for a just, free, and equitable world. As a team and family, we love and push each other to reach our happiest and highest selves. Our vibrant learning community features:
- intensive academics with two-hour blocks of math and reading, plus science, history, and digital learning
- financial literacy curriculum to empower students with real-world skills
- vibrant arts program rotating through dance, music, visual arts, and exercise science
- daily recess and weekly advisory groups for personal development
- engaging family events including our Nonfiction Fair, KIPPsterverse Festival, Annual Sneaker Ball, and Multicultural Feast
- active KIPP Freedom Family Association connecting families and building community
