Join us for an evening Burlesque workshop inspired by the infamous movie number “Welcome to Burlesque” from the film Burlesque.
You’ll explore Traditional and Neo-Burlesque techniques, learning how to command the stage through chair work, floorwork, and group formations. A focus on showgirl movement, formations, and performance connection makes this a true show stopper, perfect for dancers ready to shine.
This routine will give you a chance to see what is like to connect and move with like minded bad asses!!
Both Ivy and Saffire will be teaching this workshop!
Who is this workshop for? - Open Level requires some previous burlesque dance experience
- People have been to our beginner dances classes before or to some other dance classes.
- For our progessions who want to learn more about groupwork and showgirl style
What to wear:
You want to be able to see the movement, move around and let your body breathe. We love to dress up a little to add some spice to our week, but not at all expected, show up how you feel.
Some suggestions if you're stuck:
Top: Vest, leotard or bra
Bottom: Leggings, tights or stockings
Shoes: Barefoot, indoor trainers or character dance shoes.
