Welcome to the second edition of Welcome Day, happening on Saturday July 6th! This year, we're celebrating the vibrant diversity of the Inner West community while embracing inclusivity and acceptance. As proud members of this culturally significant area for over 115 years, the Newtown Jets are rolling out the welcome mat once again at Henson Park and Marrickville for a day of festivities like no other. Food takes center stage this year with our Vego and Vegan Alley featuring beloved local eateries such as Mr. Charlies, Yullis, Vege4Love, Morleys, Vejoes, and White Pearl Pizzeria. For those craving non-veg options, Tokyo Taco & The Jets Classic Footy BBQ will be serving up delicious treats. And of course, to complement the flavors, we've curated a fantastic selection of drinks, including craft beer from Philter Brewery, as well as offerings from local distillers like Brix Rum, Fellr Seltzer, Poor Toms, Lilyfields Gin, Goodradigbee Distillers, and more. The entertainment lineup is sure to keep spirits high throughout the day. With DJs and Performers curated by Heap Gay, while the Welcome Choir leads sing-alongs on the field between games. And let's not forget the main event: Newtown Jets vs. SWestern Suburbs Magpies! Join us on July 6th for a celebration of creativity, diversity, and community spirit.
