Where ever you may come from, whoever you are, if you want to communicate and lead better, Toastmasters is a definite platform for you. You might want to present better in the corporate world or perhaps you are a student seeking new ways to improve your communication skills in and out of class. Toastmasters can help you achieve that.

Toastmasters will give you the skills and confidence you need to effectively express yourself in any situation. Stage fright no more, as you will learn to be engaging and clear while presenting your stories or ideas to an audience. You will be able to formulate and convey your ideas clearly and concisely, becoming a more persuasive and confident speaker on stage and off it when you communicate and deal with people.

Becoming a leader is no easy task. However with Toastmasters, you can have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills. You can be a leader in your Toastmasters club to help further develop it. More importantly, while learning how to communicate and speak better, you can actually apply the communication skills to better your leadership skills. You will feel more confident in leading others outside of Toastmasters after practicing what you’ve learnt in it.

Join our meetings at The Frontier Toastmasters Club and see, listen and learn about speaking and leading better. The friendly and supportive people will be there for you to pace yourself for improvement. You will be able to participate in project speeches and engage in impromptu speaking for ample practice. Speeches will be constructively evaluated so you will know how you did and how to improve from there. You will meet people who volunteer and genuinely want to help you improve in public speaking.

Toastmasters has a program to guide you not only to public speaking success but also fulfillment and personal growth on every level.

• We meet every 3rd Tuesday of the month throughout the year.
• We start at 7:15pm and end around 9:45pm.

We have speaking slots for projects and prepared speeches during each of these meetings. The slots are open for members undergoing the Toastmasters Education Program as well as fellow Toastmasters. These speeches are planned on a voluntary basis and at your own pace allowing you, the member, to prepare ahead of time. Speeches in the project manuals are focused on different aspects of public speaking in order for the member to focus, learn and improve. Experienced Toastmasters taking on the roles of Evaluators will then guide and evaluate the speeches given during the meeting. They provide quality feedback on the main strengths of the speeches given and also ways to improve the speeches.

Those who don’t have speeches will still have a chance to practice public speaking during the impromptu speech sessions called Table Topics. You will have the chance to volunteer yourself to pick a topic (usually planned but random) from a Table Topics Master and give a short speech (not more than 2 mins). This allows you to not only gain confidence in front of an audience but also practice thinking on your feet and a good platform to exercise your creativity. These sessions are meant to be fun and engaging for all.

Members are given a chance to volunteer for roles and help out during the meetings. Various roles like Timer, Ah-counter, Evaluator, Table Topics Master, Toastmaster of the Evening are always up for grabs. By volunteering for these roles, members are more engaged in the whole procession of the meeting and will make the meetings flow smoothly.

To ensure everyone can learn in a fun and harmonious environment, subjects on religion, politics and sex are generally considered taboo, Hence, discretion on these matters is encouraged and exercised.
