Join us at The Monastery for a weekly, restorative Pilates session with Nik, designed to help you move with more ease, strength and confidence. This gentle, low-impact class focuses on mindful movement, breath work and core activation to support better posture, reduce tension and build functional strength that carries into everyday life.
Nik guides each session with clear, supportive cues, helping you move safely and with purpose through controlled mobility drills, strengthening exercises and simple corrective movements. It’s an ideal class for anyone looking to ease stiffness, improve body alignment or support recovery after periods of reduced mobility or chronic tension.
What does a typical session look like?
A typical session consists of focused breathwork, core activation, controlled mobility drills, postural strengthening and gentle corrective exercises.
Who is it for?
Pilates is generally suitable for most people, but may not be appropriate for those with acute injuries, uncontrolled pain or recent surgery. If you’re unsure, we recommend seeking clinical advice before attending.
Do I need any special clothing or equipment?
It's best to wear comfortable, stretchy clothing that allows for a full range of motion, leggings, shorts and a fitted top are ideal. Barefoot or grip socks work best for stability.
Do I need any previous experience?
No, this class is for adults of all ages. Beginners are welcome, as are those with more experience.
