All you need to learn to sail is a pair of trainers you’re willing to get wet! We have wetsuits, buoyancy aids, helmets and most importantly, the boats! Pay £10 for a come and try session, then come along on Thursday night at 6pm. You can email [email protected] with any questions.The club was formed in 1954 and has enjoyed a loyal membership ever since. New members are always welcome to join our club, so if you have a desire to learn to sail, come along and take a look around our facilities and boats. We sail April to September every year.
Lochaber Yacht Club is an RYA training centre with a range of dinghies and keelboats for members use. As well as sailing courses, we also offer powerboat training to help us expand our safety boat crews. Progression within the club is accessible to everyone, through courses, racing events, cruising trips and when we are not out on the loch we arrange winter talks on a whole range of subjects. The clubhouse offers great facilities for members, we organise social events throughout the year including a Fitting out supper, regular BBQ’s, Christmas socials and much more.
Members have access to a private car park, well-equipped clubhouse and private slipway to launch and recover boats with ease. Personal boat storage is also available on request.
