About this Event
Join St. Pete Eco Club for a day on the Weeki Wachee River.
The Weeki Wachee River is a crystal-clear, spring-fed river on Florida’s Gulf Coast, known for its bright blue water, manatees, fish, and lush shoreline. The current is gentle, making it perfect for a relaxed paddle where you can float, swim, and take it all in.
Bring your own vessel (kayak, paddle board, or canoe) and we’ll launch together from the same site so everyone stays loosely connected throughout the paddle. Plan to be out for a few hours with time to hang out along the way.
What to bring: towel, bathing suit, a zero waste lunch, water, and sun protection. Please only use natural, reef-safe sunscreen to help protect this sensitive river ecosystem. Goggles are a great add if you want to see underwater, it’s usually incredibly clear.
More details on timing and exact launch location will be shared after sign up. See you out there.
