About this Event
Participants will explore how materials interact through process-based experimentation, learning how to build surfaces gradually while allowing chance and intuition to guide composition. The workshop emphasizes working in layers, understanding drying time, and responding to marks as they evolve. Participants will create two mixed media works, allowing one piece to dry while developing the second. The focus is on exploration, surface-building, and developing a personal visual language rather than producing a polished final product. Learning Outcomes Learn foundational mixed media techniques using collage, acrylic paint, and ink Explore layering, texture, and color relationships Understand drying time and sequencing in mixed media work Create two mixed media artworks through guided experimentation
