Weekend Whittler: Craft Your Own Top Water Wobbler Lure (Ages 17+)

PLEASE NOTE:

• Registration is required via Eventbrite. There is a limit to 10 people total.
• Age requirement is 17 years and up only
• All supplies are provided
• This is a single session workshop: Sun. 3/29/26, 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM

During a workshop at the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge, participants will connect to the legacy of lure-making.

• Participants will learn some lure-making history in the region and the basic types of top water lures.
• After that, participants will learn some simple biology about northern pike, smallmouth bass, and largemouth bass like their diet and habitat.
• Participants will then whittle their own top water wobbler lure.
• The workshop will wrap-up with participants wood burning designs onto the body of their lure and attaching hook hardware.
