- This is a single session workshop: Sun. 3/29/26, 12:30 PM – 3:30 PM
During a workshop at the Detroit River International Wildlife Refuge, participants will connect to the legacy of lure-making.
- Participants will learn some lure-making history in the region and the basic types of top water lures.
- After that, participants will learn some simple biology about northern pike, smallmouth bass, and largemouth bass like their diet and habitat.
- Participants will then whittle their own top water wobbler lure.
- The workshop will wrap-up with participants wood burning designs onto the body of their lure and attaching hook hardware.
