This event will be hosted by Peaceful Insight Counseling, LLC, a telehealth-based mental wellness practice dedicated to helping adolescents, adults, couples, and families restore balance while gaining insight and empowerment. Founded by Devesea Tatum, LCSW, their team provides therapy for anxiety, depression, life transitions, trauma, relationship challenges, and everyday stressors that can leave you feeling overwhelmed or disconnected.
The health topic for the month will be Step into Serenity: Walking Your Way Into Mental Wellness. Healing doesn’t only happen in the therapy room — it happens in movement, in community, and in the small daily choices that support your well-being. We are going to discuss how spending time outdoors while walking can also lower anxiety, improve focus, and create space to process emotions in a healthy way.
The call to action will be to commit to increasing your walking this month and notice how consistent movement supports your mood, energy and overall emotional well-being. Follow Peaceful Insight Counseling on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/peacefulinsightcounseling) because they will be be making journaling reflecting prompts over the month to build a community of consciousness to track your progress and stay accountable.
The McDonough Walking Club invites you to our monthly Weekend Wellness Health initiative, supported by The City of McDonough and the District 4 Department of Public Health. We aim to promote physical activity for McDonough citizens regardless of their fitness level.
