Join us for a creative 2 days exploring the figure. We'll be making drawings and paintings of the human form, working with different models throughout the weekend.

What you’ll learn:
This complete 2 day course covers the foundations of portraiture and the energy of gestural drawing. Working with a variety of materials you'll develop skills in capturing both the detail of the face and the dynamism of the body.
Beginner Friendly:
No experience necessary! This beginner-friendly course includes all materials, full tuition, and models. Whether you’re new to drawing or looking to develop your skills, Phil and Ellie will guide you throughout the 2 days.
Course Breakdown:
The Portrait
Focus on the static portrait, with longer poses to capture the portrait. Learn essential techniques in measuring, proportions, and tonal work to create compelling figurative work.
Life Drawing
Working from a life model to explore the human form using various poses.
The Figure
Making gestural studies of the full figure, including slightly more dynamic poses. This will encourage you to bring movement and energy into your artwork.
Cost:
£120 for the full weekend
£70 for one day
All materials included. Tea, coffee and biscuits provided. Please bring your own lunch.
