About this Event
Come spend a magical afternoon in the woods, celebrating spring, learning about wildflowers, and talking about nature-based education for infants and toddlers in our area!
We will be led on a short (less than 1/4 mile), slow walk, with our pace and direction matched to our toddler attendees. Botanist Joe Gorman will share plant knowledge and we will have toddler friendly wildflower ID cards to distribute, so you can keep exploring at home! Caregivers must accompany all children and be committed to helping minimize impact on fragile ecosystems. All are welcome, but this event is specifically tailored towards infants and toddlers, with goals of creating confidence and curiosity in nature!
This gathering will also be an informal space to discuss plans for building nature-based education programs for pre-school aged kids in SWVA.
