In 2017, Gianluca was awarded the title of Best Wine Taster in Italy in a competition organized by ONAV (Organizzazione Nazionale Assaggiatori di Vino). Driven by his passion for exploration, Gianluca has spent the past decade crafting wines across Italy, Napa Valley, Margaret River (Australia), British Columbia, and Ontario, (Canada) while also working as a sommelier in his spare time out of pure passion.
Gianluca grew up in Palermo, Sicily and chose to study Agricultural Sciences, which then led him to the mainland and working with the vineyards, in pursuit of winemaking skills, spending seasons in Asti, Lisbon and Reims. He has packed in a lot of wine experience by starting young! We are delighted to have this new to us supplier and a portfolio wines we have not carried before.
