Bodega Benegas Lynch, established in 1999 by Federico Benegas Lynch in Mendoza, Argentina, is a boutique winery focused on high-end, old-vine wines. Rooted in history, it revives the legacy of Don Tiburcio Benegas (founded 1883), with vineyards (Finca Libertad) containing 60-120 year old vines. The winery is famous for producing Malbec and pioneering Cabernet Franc in the region. Bodega Benegas has gained recognition for producing elegant, intense, and complex wines, often considered a mix of New World fruit and Old World structure.
Federico's original vineyard had originally been planted by his great grandfather from cuttings that he had collected in France before Phylloxera devastated the continent's vineyards, and considered now to be the oldest Cabernet Franc vineyard in the world!
