Daphne London is a rare musical stand-up performer known for blending witty, melodic comedy with her guitar. Originally from Maryland , she developed a passion for music at a young age-performing throughout her life and nurturing her distinctive acoustic-comedy style . Her signature hybrid of "sweet melodic comedy" has made her a standout.
She has performed at the Kennedy Center (pre-trump takeover) and the historic Lincoln Theatre in Washington, D.C., as well as top comedy venues including DC Improv and Punch Line Philly. Over the course of her career, she has appeared at more than 200 venues across the United States and England . She has also worked alongside musical comedy contemporaries such as JR De Guzman and Morgan Jay.
Fans and peers affectionately describe her as the “Hoe Burnam of comedy" —a testament to her charming, and unfiltered humor . Daphne continues to delight with her clever songwriting carving out a unique niche as one of the very few female musical stand-ups.
