π Meet Spencer and Kriste - Masters of blending the Sharply Edged with the Fun & Flowy Urbankiz! π
πSpencer and Kriste have been teaching together since November 2022, sharing their expertise at various international events and festivals.
Their main goal, is to try to level up dancers during their classes, their classes are mostly focused on technical based skills with a touch of elegance.
ππΊ Dance Fusion Excellence:
Renowned for their distinctive dance style, they have created a combination of Urban Kiz and smooth musicality. Their passion lies in dancing to diverse genres of music, with a particular fondness for Jamaican club bangers, smooth Kizomba tracks and even sometimes Hip-Hop/R&B songs.
π« Badja Team Members:
Both of them are members of Badja Team, a highly regarded Kizomba and Urban Kiz dance team based in the Netherlands. Their primary focus is on nurturing the growth of their students, ensuring they improve with each lesson. They emphasize dancing with proper technique and respecting their partners and the dance community.
π΄π Spencer's Dance Odyssey:
ππ©ππ§πππ« comes from Cabo Verde and spent his formative years in Portugal. Having resided in the Netherlands for the past 27 years, he is not only a founding member but also an integral part of Badja Team.
π΅πΊ From Musician to Dancer:
As a former musician, Spencer has always had a passion for Kizomba. However, he embarked on his dance journey of learning Kizomba and Urban Kiz merely ten months before the onset of the corona pandemic. He continued improving his skills during the pandemic, dedicating himself to rigorous training and attending classes whenever and wherever possible.
β½π± Dance Mastery Unveiled:
Drawing inspiration from renowned instructors in the field, Spencer has cultivated a unique and seamless dance style. Furthermore, his unwavering dedication, bolstered by his extensive experience as a football coach, has shaped him into the remarkable dancer and teacher he is today. Constantly seeking personal growth, he remains committed to training, attending classes, and participating in workshops regularly.
ππ΅ Kriste's Origin and Early Dance Exploration
ππ«π’π¬ππ, originally from Estonia, is a versatile dancer who dances and performs from an early age. Her origins are related to styles such as Commercial, Hip-Hop, Jazz, and Contemporary dance, and she has worked as a professional dancer in different parts of the world.
πβ¨ Teaching Journey:
Kriste has 8 years of experience teaching and training with various instructors at international events and festivals. Kriste started learning Kizomba back in 2013 while living in London and was one of the first people to promote Urban Kiz in Great Britain by organizing events with international instructors.
π€π Poland to Barcelona and Beyond:
After moving to Poland, Kriste was a dance teacher at So!Salsa dance school and one of the few instructors teaching Urban Kiz in Poland and abroad. Later, in Barcelona, she continued with local and international collaborations. Kriste is residing now in Tallinn, Estonia where she is managing a dance, yoga and pilates studio called Bluebird Studio.
