Join Kristen and as she shows you how to “whip up” your own delectable cakes and pies. We’ll find out what made his art so famous.
In this class, we will cover:
- Wayne Thiebaud's life and process
- The Pop Art movement in America
- Geometry and Symmetry in Art
- Texture with a Brush
- Color Mixing
- Pattern and Repetition
- Positive and Negative Space
Student's will walk away with a few mini studies and one larger painting of their favorite baked goods and sweets.
Drawing skills not required; we will learn how to easily transfer images onto our wood panels.
Supply List:
- bring all your acrylic —or— oil painting supplies
- your sketchbook or a pad of mixed media paper
- One 18x24 or 24x24 wood panel
- cotton rags or Blue Shop Towels
- optional but helpful: a 24" ruler
