About this Event
Studies have shown that fiber crafts are extremely beneficial to those who are living with grief and loss. The intentionality and care of working with your hands and the necessary repetition allow your mind to slow down, focus, and reflect. Doing this work alongside others who have faced similar losses helps us feel less alone. The connections and conversations will lead us to make something meaningful with our hands that honors the loved ones who are no longer with us.
In this three-hour workshop, participants will turn their loved ones’ T-shirts into yarn. Once complete, we will focus on weaving the upcycled yarn into a satchel to hold tiny mementos. Come and spend time with us as we weave and grieve together.
This workshop is for people ages 18 and older and will be limited to the first 15 participants.
