Cllr Preety Hudd, Mayor of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and Cllr Dori Schmetterling, Deputy Mayor both will be our guests of honour.

In our ever more interconnected world, it is critical to cherish and preserve our cultural heritage. London, a melting pot of cultures, finds its vibrant heart in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, home to many embassies and ambassadorial residences.

This captivating fashion show celebrates the rich cultural tapestry of our community, showcasing the artistry and storytelling woven into the national dress of various countries. Each ensemble serves as a window into a nation's heritage, fostering understanding and appreciation between our diplomatic and local communities.

This event supports The Felix Project, a charity which distributes surplus food from stores and restaurants to foodbanks and similar organisation providing people in need in London, and Kids for Kids, a charity that provide sustainable solutions to the starvation and poverty faced by children in Darfur, Sudan.

This event marks the inauguration of what promises to become an annual tradition.

Quote from YDL about hosting the event:

“As the organizer of this charity event featuring a national dress catwalk, our mission is to not only showcase the beauty and diversity of traditional attire but also to ignite a sense of pride and appreciation for our cultural heritage. Through this unique platform, we aim to celebrate unity in diversity while making a positive impact on our community.
