Weaving a Tale of Marco Island History Pioneer and Modern
Come join us at the Marco Island Library Rose Hall for an exciting event that will take you on a journey through the history of our beloved island. Discover the stories of the pioneers who shaped Marco Island into what it is today, as well as the modern developments that continue to make our community thrive.
Betsy Perdichizzi, local historian, author and publisher of seven historical fiction and non-fiction books about the pioneers of Marco Island, will speak in Rose Hall on the occasion of the 50th anniversary celebration of the Marco Island Library.
Betsy will relate the untold story of being inspired to start recording old timers’ oral histories of Marco Island after attending author Douglas Waitley’s lecture on “The Last Paradise” at Eagle Creek in 1989.
No registration or membership required - ALL ARE WELCOME
Light refreshements will be provided. The presentation will start at 10:30.
