Welcome and thanks for your curiosity and heart around normalizing grief; and most importantly making space for it. Below is some information that may help you know our program better.
All Weathervane grief support groups are closed meaning that after our second meeting, no additional participants will be added. A group will need at least 5 people to happen and the maximum amount of people will be 10 in one group. After you sign up, you will be sent a short form for emergency contact information and to commit to payment type and any payment plan you may need. The groups are run by Julie Weatherhead, a Grief Doula and Licensed Professional Counselor- with some healing arts friends co-facilitating for certain sessions.
Group dates/info:
Location: 6 Sessions running from 7:00 to 9:00 pm downstairs at The Congregation Coffee Shop with our last session- Family Dinner + Fire -taking place at the Weathervane Counseling Home Office.
Dates: Tuesdays nights February 17th, 24th, March 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th
Each activity/session is challenge by choice, meaning you can go as deep as you'd like and share as much as you want; meaning- you will be met and loved fully where you are!
In these groups, you will get to know your grief while being supported by your 5 senses:: Each session we will have a focus on active listening + witnessing of each other and one (or more) of the 5 senses: Sight, Sound, Touch, Smell, Taste.
February 17th- Group Grounding + Flowers (smell)
February 24th- Herbal Medicine Workshop (taste)
March 3rd- Clay - shape of my heart (touch)
March 10th- Sound Bath with Sophiyah of Afro Moone
March 17th- Writing/Art Release activity (see)
March 24th- Family Dinner + Fire at Weathervane Home Office
These groups are for all types of losses. Your grief doula/guide/facilitator will be Julie Weatherhead, LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) of Weathervane Counseling and Consulting. Julie has assisted in delivering and caring for people's grief since the age of 13 years old and is the director and lead counselor of a local nonprofit- Got Grief House which has a monthly donation based drop in grief group.

Pricing will be:
$700- Pay it Forward
$550- Full Price
$400 - 2 spots available
Pay what you can- 1 spot available
Payment for full price averages out to $45/hour of communal and invididual healing. The power of activities and group share is immense; allowing people to have their needs met in their grief release + processing.
There will be 10 people max in a group, a minimum of 5 people signed up is needed for a group to run.*If you have participated in a 2025 Weathervane Group, you may request a 10% discount off your chosen price.
Payment: Once you fill this form out, you will be contacted to create a plan for payment. Your may pay your full amount before our first session together; or you may pay in installments throughout our time together.

If there is not enough people to run the group you signed up for, we may may have to cancel. 5 people are needed to run group; the max number is 10 people. If we have the 5 minimum to begin, we will accept additional participants into the group until the second session, after second session the group will close.
