Build Your Own Smart Wearable Tech Device!
In this 6-hour introductory workshop, your child will learn the fundamentals of electronics and coding using Arduino. They’ll get hands-on experience designing, building, and programming their very own smart wearable tech device that they can take home and continue to improve.
Develop Real-World Problem-Solving Skills
One of the key focus areas is designing a wearable device to assist people with visual impairments. Your child will learn how to address real-world challenges and use technology to create a fully functional assistive device—crafted from largely upcycled materials.
100% Hands-On Learning Experience
This workshop is designed for beginners—no prior experience needed. With small class sizes (6 students max) and 2 facilitators, your child will get plenty of personalized attention to ensure they master the skills needed to build, code, and wire their own project.
What's Included
- Free Arduino kit (worth $50) for continued learning at home
- Certificate of completion for all participants
