About the Programme/Event

When you are rich in years, what would you like to share as a story to enrich others?

Ask an experienced writer how to start writing, and the answer is likely this statement: Write what you know. Each of us has seen and felt from a singular, unique perspective - our own. As the years pass, the more stories we accumulate, like layers of a cake, flavoured by our own emotions and sentiments, decorated with our observations and thoughts. The older we get, the more stories we can share.

Listen to the wonderful journeys of Patricia Lee, instructor of the flash fiction workshop, Tiny Tales, and her workshop participants’ on how they captured slices of their lives – whether from the distant past or from more recent experiences through writing.
Patricia Lee graduated from the Wee Kim Wee School of Communication Studies in Nanyang Technological University and went on to the National Institute of Education. An English teacher for over 15 years, she has written and self-published a fantasy novel under the pen name AK Lee. She shares short stories and excerpts of her writing on her website, www.akleewrites.com. You can also find her on her Instagram account under the name @akleewrites.
