Yorkshire artist Jessica Jenyns shares her passion for creating wearable art, using needle felting to breathe new life into pre-loved jumpers and knitted accessories. During this hands-on workshop you will learn how to needle-felt your design onto your garment, with easy to follow instructions to finish your project at home.For your design, you don’t have to have an idea before you come along. Jessica will provide plenty of inspiration. However, if you do have a specific design in mind, brilliant! Don’t get too carried away, though, as larger designs do take a very long time to complete.
Apart from the pre-loved knitwear you bring along, materials and equipment are provided. For needle felting, Jessica uses carded sheep wool or bamboo/flax and sources this second-hand as well as making it herself from second-hand textiles.
Each participant also receives a 10% discount voucher via email after the class has been held to use online towards a future class.
