Be part of something historic and discover Sussex rural history through the seasons, in the heart of the picturesque South Downs. See what rural living was like with over a 1,000 years of history to explore, and over 50 relocated historic houses covering the 40 acre site. Whether you are 5 or 95 there is something for everyone!The Museum’s Court Barn from Lee-on-the-Solent is home to BBC’s The Repair Shop series and is closed for private hire (filming). When filming is taking place, the film set is not open for visitors to explore.
Craft Demonstrations
Come and witness a past that is truly alive! We have working exhibits that, through craft demonstrations, show how they would have operated hundreds of years ago – experience blacksmithing, milling, spinning, Tudor cooking and more.

Living History: Victorian Showtime
Join us for three days of extraordinary Victorian showtime entertainment, as we are joined by Melford Hys Companie, as they showcase their Victorian Travelling Show.
See their collection of oddities as they bring to life their travelling show from the 1890s. Enjoy their extraordinary acts of daring, tales of the Empire, a doctor that can cure all ills and the delightful Gristle Sisters who are always on hand with a snack or a tea leaf reading.
The Museum is a non-smoking & no-vaping site.
