What to Expect
The closed door School Board meeting begins at 4:00 PM, where officials will discuss which public schools they plan to close and sell off. While they sit behind closed doors reviewing contracts and weighing how much money can be made off our schools, our voices must be loud and impossible to ignore.
From 3:00–4:00 PM, we will gather outside to protest the planned school closures.
From 4:00–4:45 PM, we will hold speaker engagement and community counter-programming. While the board meets inside, we will hear directly from students, parents, educators, and community members — the people most affected by these decisions. Our futures should not be decided without us.
This is about more than buildings. It’s about safety, education, and our children’s futures.
We will provide water.
