Dear Friends,

Less than a month ago, I sent that text above to Danusia asking for her new address in Los Angeles. She had just moved from Marin to Southern California earlier in the year and had finished a remodel on her home. The cover photo is of her actual home in its current state. It is truly devastating for Danusia, her family, and so many others who lost their homes, pets or loved ones.

Danusia is an OG Stop Drop and Dancer.

10 years ago when I started testing this new cardio dance class concept barefoot in a yoga studio with less than a handful of people... Danusia was one of them. She danced with me through all the highs when we packed 80 people into a sweaty room at Marin Power Yoga, for her 50th birthday, and she danced with me through all the lows including dancing on my deck during Covid when I could only fit a few people social distanced.

Danusia helped Stop Drop and Dance grow to what it is now.

During that year of Covid when I had to pivot my business plan and officially create "The Power With Grace," I needed to take photos for my website, and I was able to count on Danusia to be there. Also, if you have ever seen my website or YouTube promo video, she is one of three main faces and speakers in that video that represent the community of Stop Drop and Dance (starts at 45 seconds in!).

Danusia is part of our family.

In addition to dancing with us, Danusia taught TRX classes at Marin Power Yoga and later at Fitlab, and more recently last August, she and her husband even came up north just to attend our Michael Franti party bus concert (her husband, also named Michael, was a great sport by being our one male representative on board with 40 rowdy women! haha!).

We will be collecting donations up until Sunday, February 2nd since that is the day of our 4th Stop Drop and Dance-a-thon and many of us will all be gathered together! (You do not need to attend the event to donate).
