About this Event
The Summit County Historical Society's John Brown Institute will host a free youth summit in partnership with Shaw JCC and The Lippman School to provide students in the 8th - 12th grade the opportunity to express their voice and work with facilitators who will be encouraging them to take charge of their lives and do great things. The program is sponsored in part by Buckingham, Doolittle & Burroughs.
All teens that sign up by January 31st will receive a free t-shirt featuring our keynote theme The Me No Body Knows.
The keynote address will be given be Branndon Jackson who will share his story as a talented student athlete who was injuried rescuing someone in the line of a vehicle. His story will inspire the students and get them up off their feet with the assistance of a local DJ.
The program is free and includes breakfast and lunch. Students may be dropped off between 9:00 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Educational booths will be available for students to learn more about how they can participate in community programming, volunteering and planning. The event ends at 2:30 p.m. for pick up.
