We live in a time suspended between crisis and potential, where the stories we inherit are colliding with the futures we long for. We Dream in Futures gathers artists, futurists, designers, worldbuilders and storytellers to ask: what kind of world do we desire, and how do we imagine our way toward it?
Across lectures, lightning talks and panels, we explore the transformative power of narrative to question the present, shift perspectives and dream up futures that are alive with possibility. Drawing on diverse disciplines and lived experiences, this symposium honours storytelling as a radical act of futurity โ one that invites vision, and also agency. Whether through design, fiction, memory or myth, the speakers gathered in this programme show us that not only is another world possible, it is already being seeded through the stories we choose to tell.
We invite you to imagine it together, and dream alongside us.
(Vice President of Attractions and ArtScience Museum at Marina Bay Sands), ๐๐ฒ๐น๐น๐ ๐ง๐ฎ๐ป (Acting Director, Industry at DesignSingapore Council), ๐ง๐ผ๐ฟ๐น๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฝ ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฝ๐ท๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ผ๐ผ๐ธ (artist), ๐ญ๐ถ ๐๐ฎ๐ผ ๐ช๐ผ๐ป๐ด (artist, designer, educator and co-founder of Superlative Futures), ๐๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ ๐ข๐ (art director and designer), ๐๐ผ๐๐ต๐๐ฎ ๐๐ฎ๐ (Assistant Curator at ArtScience Museum), and more.

Another World Is Possible is an exhibition on the future, exploring the practice of world-building across cinema, architecture, design, and speculative fiction.
The exhibition reflects a distinctly Singaporean approach to the future, one shaped by long-term thinking, environmental pragmatism, and an ethic of collective responsibility. In contrast to the dystopian tone common in Western popular culture, Singapore treats the future as something to be designed, debated, and actively constructed. This sensibility is woven through the exhibitionโs architecture, design, and artโfrom WOHAโs biodiverse vertical cities to Pomeroy Studioโs floating farms.
Showcasing the visionary work of filmmaker and speculative architect Liam Young, alongside regional and international creatives such as Bjรถrk, Torlarp Larpjaroensook, Osborne Macharia, Ong Kian Peng, Jakob Kudsk Steensen, Ming Wong, and more, Another World Is Possibleproposes alternative ways of living, thinking, and being, and adopts a more hopeful approach to the future.
Another World Is Possible is co-curated by ArtScience Museum and Liam Young. This exhibition is presented in partnership with ACMI, Melbourne, Australia, and is a sequel to the exhibition, The Future and Other Fictions, originally curated and developed by ACMI. Another World Is Possible is part of ArtScience Museum's SG60 season, celebrating Singapore's 60th anniversary. It is a key event of Singapore Design Week 2025, and is sponsored by the DesignSingapore Council.
