We Care-a-oke
Ready to sing your heart out and do something amazing for your community? We Care-a-oke is the perfect in-person hangout where good vibes and great tunes meet.
Whether you’re a karaoke pro or just looking to singalong with friends, at We Care-a-oke, we believe in the transformative power of group singing — not just as entertainment, but as a pathway to health, connection and wellbeing.
Our sessions bring people together in joyful, supportive spaces where everyone can sing, laugh and share music — no experience required.
Overview
- Pre-booking essential as names are submitted to the care home in advance
- Turn up with your ticket in the afternoon and join us in a dedicated entertainment space prepped and ready for singing together
- Choose a song, or sing along to someone elses song choice - we prioritise the choices made by residents in the care home - as long as we have someone there who can sing them! There are plenty of opportunities to contribute to and curate the playlist - and it is different every single time!
- If you're on the mic, the floor is yours - step to the front and do your sing!
- If you're not on the mic, sing along, dance, or mingle with the residents and make some new friends - the choice is yours!
- You will be asked to read through and agree to our terms before attending - to maximise safety for everyone
- The event is designed to be fun and to connect amazing people and different generations together in a shared passion
- Between singing, we highly recommend listening to some of the incredible stories of the older generations - they're so full of wisdom and experiences!
- The session lasts one hour
