When: Friday, February 16, 2024 in the late afternoon/early evening to Sunday, February 18, 2024 at around 2pm.
Where: Hilton Garden Inn at Cherry Creek 600 S Colorado Blvd, Denver, CO 80246
- The hotel is located one mile from the Cherry Creek Shopping District and is near many of Denver's attractions including the Denver Zoo, Denver Botanic Gardens, Denver Museum of Nature and Science, Denver Mint, and the Ball Arena - home of the reigning NBA champion Denver Nuggets basketball team.
- We have secured a block of rooms for our group at $124 plus tax per night for either two queen beds or one king bed. This price is valid for Friday, February 16 through Monday, February 19 (President's Day)
- A combination of rooms with one king bed or two queen beds are on hold until Monday, January 29, 2024
- All activities and meals will originate at the hotel.
Hotel Amenities:
- Complimentary WiFi, indoor pool, fitness center, on-site restaurant, braille room numbers, audio and visual strobe alarms, mini-fridge, and microwave.
- Parking is $12 per day
- The shortest route from the Denver International Airport (DEN) is via car and is approximately a 20-30 minute drive depending on time of day. The airport has dedicated rideshare waiting lots. The Light Rail train departs the airport every 30 minutes and takes approximately 70 minutes between the train, a bus, and a short walk. Itinerary
Friday, February 16, 2024: Our group will gather in or near the hotel for dinner and drinks at 6:00 p.m. This will be a casual meal provided by WE C Hope, with plenty of opportunity to meet fellow families and survivors.
Saturday, February 17, 2024: Mid-morning we will have an outing sponsored by WE C Hope. Our group will go behind-the-scenes at the Denver Zoo with zookeepers, animal meet-and-greets, and a fun, tactile experience. Guests will be able to explore the zoo after the organized activities. Make sure to bring plenty of layers and warm clothes!
Saturday evening will include dinner and a second outing provided by WE C Hope at a location TBD.
Sunday, February 18, 2024: Meet for continental breakfast followed by one more exciting outing. Our organized activities will end around 2:00 p.m.
Please note this event will be taking place over President's Day weekend, so consider staying in the Mile High City through Monday. If guests plan to stay Sunday night, we will organize an informal get-together.
Who Can Attend:
Retinoblastoma survivors, current patients, their family and friends, and medical professionals.
If I don’t live in the area, can I still attend?
Absolutely! We welcome members of the retinoblastoma community from throughout the Mountain West, and across the USA. Anyone from outside the USA who is affected by Rb and able to make it will also be very welcome.
How Much Will It Cost?
The block of hotel rooms is $124 plus tax per night for one king bed or two queen beds, when booked by Monday, January 29, 2024.
WE C Hope will cover the cost of:
- Dinner on Friday.
- Dinner on Saturday.
- Continental breakfast on Sunday.
- Our outings on Saturday and Sunday.

I’m In! How do I RSVP and Reserve my Room?
We ask that all participants register by Monday, January 29, 2024, and confirm the total count of adults and children attending in your party.
To reserve your hotel room:
- Book your room online
- OR call the Hilton Garden Inn at Cherry Creek, (303) 754-9800, and quote “World Eye Cancer Hope”.
- If you would like to extend your stay before or after February 16 -18, the hotel will do their best to accommodate the same rate per night. The room rate is also good for Sunday, February 19, 2024
By when do I Need to Book My Room?
The room rate for our block is guaranteed until Monday, January 29, 2024. Rates after this date are subject to availability.
