Wesley Chapel Theater Group is holding auditions for War of the Worlds: The Panic Broadcast📻 Written by Joe Landry | Presented by WCTG

🎙️ About the Show:
Come be a part of an amazing bit of history!
We are putting on a radio play within a radio play.
In 1938 Orson Welles and his Mercury Theatre of the Air created a broadcast of The War of the Worlds. It felt so real that it caused a panic around New York and New Jersey.
In our play, we will visit not only that event, but what happened before and after the broadcast. You will be playing one of the actors in a 1948 radio broadcast that will both recreate the Orson Welles broadcast and the reaction of the public and officials to this broadcast.
You will play multiple characters and maybe even do some of the radio sound effects.
So when you come to audition, come ready to really give it to us! Let us see how many distinct characters and performances you can create.
We will be casting 5 men and 2 women to take on our 52 characters. The good news is that since it is a radio play, you will be using a script during the performances.
