The Wesley Chapel Theater Group announces open auditions and offstage production opportunities for One Act Festival 2026. Auditions are open to the entire community, and we welcome actors of all ethnicities, genders, and abilities. We pride ourselves on being a community theater that values diverse talent and experience levels.

About the Show:
Join us in celebrating local storytelling! We are casting a collection of seven one-act plays written by Florida playwrights and brought to life by local directors and performers. This production blends comedy and drama, offering a variety of roles for actors of all backgrounds and experience levels. Whether you’re new to the stage or a seasoned performer, we invite you to audition and be part of this collaborative and creative theatrical experience.
Auditions will consist of cold readings from the scripts.
Please note that Wesley Chapel Theater Group is a non-profit theater, and this is a non-equity production. All cast and crew volunteer their time and talent.

Performance Dates:

Rehearsal Schedule:
The exact rehearsal schedule is to be determined, but rehearsals will be held 1-2 nights a week beginning the week of May 25th.
Tech week will be July 12 - 17 at Avalon Park Wesley Chapel Community Center, 5227 Autumn Ridge Drive, Wesley Chapel, FL 33545. Note: All Tech Week days are mandatory.
Important Note:
All performers and production volunteers must be available for all tech week rehearsals and performances.
Additional Crew and Casting:
We are also looking for a Stage Manager and stage crew. Please feel free to contact us if you would like to volunteer for any of those positions.

Synopsis: John, a man in his sixties, is packing up the last of his father’s books as the family prepares to move out of their “life-enriching community.” At the age of sixteen, he is joined by Tim, the spirit of his father, and together they remember reading the twelve books in a series that has been in the family for generations.
