About Our Speaker
Dorene Michaels is Co-Host of Milwaukee’s Hometown Morning Show with Dave Coombs, Dorene, and Marcus on 96.5 WKLH. A lifelong Milwaukeean, Dorene has spent more than 30 years in local media, serving as an on-air radio host, news director, and game day host for the Milwaukee Brewers and Milwaukee Wave, among many other roles.
In January 2023, Dorene launched a bold personal project—“Dorene Discovers”—challenging herself to try something new every single day for a year. What started as a personal journey quickly became a movement. Now continuing into 2025, Dorene has documented hundreds of new experiences, inspiring thousands to push past fear, embrace change, and rediscover possibility. Learn more about Dorene here.
