The Washington Chamber Orchestra opens its new season with a dynamic program of classical masterworks. The evening begins with Beethoven’s bold and dramatic Coriolan Overture, followed by Prokofiev’s effervescent Classical Symphony, a brilliant homage to the style of Haydn and Mozart.Internationally acclaimed violinist Judith Ingolfsson, Gold Medalist of the Indianapolis International Violin Competition, returns to perform Beethoven’s Violin Concerto in D Major, a cornerstone of the violin repertoire, known for its lyrical beauty and profound depth.
